Arc Health is seeking an Emergency Room Physician to provide services to the Colorado River Service Unit Hospital, located in Parker, AZ. We are seeking clinicians who can start picking up shifts as soon as possible. The ideal candidate is:
- Comfortable caring for patients with multiple chronic conditions and living and working in a rural community Committed to rural, Tribal, and underserved healthcare

Practice Description
- Shifts are 12 hours day and 12 hours night shift. Shifts are 7 Am to 7 PM and 7 PM to 7 AM.
- Support staff include: Nurses and Hospitalists after 5pm. 8am to 5pm other support staff available as well.
- EHR: RPMS
- 12-20 patients/day and 10-15 patients/night
Requirements
- Board-certified in EM; or Board eligible
- ATLS, ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Active, unrestricted license and DEA from any state or US territory
- Completed a US residency program
- Not had a lapse in practice > 6 months leading up to assignment

- The Parker Indian Health Center (PIHC) is the headquarters of the Colorado River Service Unit.
- This 17-bed Critical Access Hospital provides the American Indian/Alaskan Native community with general medical services.
- Specialty outpatient services are provided on-site by IHS or off-site referrals. PIHC serves approximately 7,850 patients.
- This facility is located right next to the Colorado River and the border between California and Arizona.
- Most clinicians live in Parker, Arizona and Lake Havasu City, Arizona. On their off-time boating, fishing, hiking, cycling, and desert activities.

Arc Health is seeking Board Certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians for a hybrid position in Polacca, Arizona to cover Hospitalist, Urgent Care and Same Day Clinic Care at a tribal facility. Ideal candidates are those who are available at least 1 7-day week per month on a long-term basis but 2 weeks per month would be better.
Practice Description:
- Wednesday - Tuesday, 10-hour shifts
- ED covers nights
- Schedule is Wednesday through Tuesday
- Help out in and with walk ins after rounds
- Urgent Care is located right in the ED with Primary Care just down the hall
- Family-type admissions to ICU: febrile UTI, simple pneumonia, simple pancreatitis, end of life. No specialty care.
Requirements:
- Recent outpatient medical experience
- Board certification in Family Practice or Internal Medicine
- Current certification required in BLS, ACLS and PALS
- Active, unrestricted license and DEA from any state or US territory
- Completion of a US residency program
- No lapse in practice > 6 months leading up to assignment
- Selected candidate shall undergo the Indian Health Service mandated security clearance requirement prior to commencement of services including a fingerprint check and a screen check of the physician through the office of the inspector general's exclusion list.
- No procedures required. Providers need ACLS but the actual intubation of patients can be done by the ED Physician.

Strong Navajo and Hopi cultural traditions exist within this community, offering an opportunity to learn the Navajo and Hopi languages, or to learn about traditional Native American medicine.
- The service unit is located 150 miles from the Grand Canyon National Park, with excellent opportunities for photography and outdoor recreation. The facility has about 13,500 annual patient visits and offers 24 hours of physician coverage.

The Facility, located in Parker, Arizona, delivers high-quality healthcare services to the members of five Native American tribes. Serving a population of over 5,200 individuals, the Colorado Service Unit includes members from the Colorado River Indian Tribes, which represent an ethnic mix of Mojave, Hopi, Navajo, and Chemehuevi, as well as the Hualapai, Havasupai, Chemehuevi, and Fort Mojave tribes.
The hospital is a 20-bed facility, accredited by the Joint Commission (JCAHO), and is staffed by five physicians and one physician's assistant. Notably, it was the first tribal hospital in the United States to have its inpatient beds licensed as swing beds.
Parker PHS Indian Hospital provides comprehensive general medical care and pediatric services to the local community. Specialty outpatient services are offered on-site by Indian Health Service (IHS) providers, contract specialists, or through off-site referrals. Obstetric patients are typically referred to local private facilities for delivery.
Responsibilities:
Staff the Emergency Department
Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
Perform comprehensive examinations for adults and children
Participate in quality improvement/patient safety projects

Arc Health is seeking physicians with Emergency Medicine experience to assist an Emergency Department in Kayenta, AZ, serving the native Navajo community.
Position: Emergency Medicine Physician Setting: Level 5 Trauma ED Location: Kayenta, AZ Facility: Kayenta Health Center - Indian Health Services Start Date: July 2025 Contract Duration: 6 months to 1 year, with potential for extension
Shifts: Flexible schedules, offering options such as:
- 7 AM to 7 PM (day shifts)
- 9 AM to 9 PM (morning)
- 11 AM to 11 PM (afternoon)
- 2 PM to 2 AM (evening shifts)
- 7 PM to 7 AM (night shifts)
Annual Volume: 18,000–21,000 patients
Duties Include:
- Major trauma cases, including fractures of multiple extremities, stab wounds, open wounds of the chest, abdomen, and extremities; penetrating trauma; head trauma; suspected spinal injuries; lacerations; amputations
- Major medical emergencies, such as cardiac arrest, myocardial infarction, respiratory failure, shock, diabetic ketoacidosis
- Obstetrical emergencies, including deliveries of single or multiple births, acute pregnancy complications, and vaginal bleeding
- Pediatric emergencies (25% of patient volume)
Requirements:
- Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine or Family Practice, with at least 18 months of experience
- Hold a valid medical license from any U.S. state or territory
- Certifications: Required- ATLS, ACLS, PALS, BLS; NRP and ALSO strongly recommended for Family Practice-trained providers
