Arc Health is seeking a board-certified Family Medicine Physician MD/DO for an IHS facility, The Rosebud Indian Health Service unit. Physicians must be: 

  • Committed to rural, Tribal, and underserved healthcare 
  • Compassionate, mission-driven social medicine practitioners 
  • Interested in joining a dynamic and potentially disruptive social healthcare enterprise 
  • Completed a US residency program 
  • Not had a lapse in practice > 6 months leading up to assignment 

Practice Description 

  • Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. 1 hour of administrative time each day 
  • Typical number of patients seen per day: 14-18 
  • EHR: RPMS 

Requirements 

  • Board Certified MD/DO 
  • Active DEA, BLS, ACLS, PALS 
  • Any state license 
  • Covid vaccination plus boosters 
  • Background check with fingerprinting 

About the location 

  • Rosebud is 3 hours from Rapid City and 4 hours from Sioux Falls. Pierre, the capital of South Dakota, is about 1 hour away. 
  • The Rosebud Indian Health Service hospital is a 35 bed comprehensive medical/surgical hospital. 
  • The hospital is the primary source of health care for the Rosebud Sioux (Sicangu Oyate) tribal members, in and around the Rosebud Sioux reservation.
