Relief Physician Opportunity – Ketchikan, AK
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Setting: Outpatient-only clinic with no call and no weekends
Position Highlights

Patient Volume: Approximately 50 patients per week

Patient Mix: 60% adult / 40% pediatric

Travel Access: 4 commercial flights daily to Seattle
Position Structure & Compensation

Employment Type: Preferred as Relief Physician (1099 contractor)

Pay Rate: $150/hour DOE
Key Responsibilities
-
Deliver outpatient primary care to a diverse patient population
-
Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions
-
Provide preventive health education and follow-up care
-
Collaborate with other clinic staff in a team-based care model
-
Ensure complete and accurate documentation using Cerner
-
Contribute to quality initiatives and continuous care improvements
Minimum Qualifications
-
MD or DO from an accredited U.S. medical school
-
Active license to practice in any U.S. state, DC, or Puerto Rico
-
Must be eligible for (or already hold) an Alaska license for direct tribal hire
-
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
-
Must pass background check under P.L. 101-630 (for positions involving children/families)
